In short No! The optimized settings we upload are well within the tolerances of the engine and components if they are in good serviceable condition. We also carry out a basic diagnostic check before remapping any vehicle to ensure there are no problems/errors recorded in the ECU.
Because we work on a copy of your own vehicle’s base file, all of your vehicle’s original internal serial numbers, hardware & software numbers are retained in the new file loaded onto your ECU, making it virtually undetectable by the dealers.
No, but neither are we the most expensive. If price is the main thing you are concerned with, then we’re probably not a good match for each other. We made an easy decision when we started that we wanted to offer great quality remaps, brilliant service, use top tuning equipment, employ experienced/capable staff and at affordable prices, and it’s not possible to do that & be the cheapest.
Most remaps can be carried out in around 2 hours, but some more complicated ECU can take anything up to 6 hours, but we can advise you of your specific vehicle if you get in touch. We are also usually able to offer a mobile service to minimise the disruption to your day.
Yes. We have a fully mobile service & carry all of the tools & equipment we need to remap your vehicle at your home or your workplace, including our own power supply. All we need is space to be close to your vehicle & 4G or WiFi access.
